Current Clinical Supervision Groups

LPC Clinical Supervision for Licensure Candidates

One Wednesday per month, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.
For Counselors Seeking Licensure

In this group, clinicians have an opportunity to present cases and expand their skills and understanding. Group sessions are tailored to the needs of the individual participants and include attention to counseling theory in practice, case conceptualization and effective treatment-planning, developing setting-specific interventions, and special topics such as managing suicidal risk, facilitating insight through creative expression, identifying and intervening with traumatic re-enactments, teaching mindfulness skills, and working effectively with children and families.

Participants will be guided in integrating a trauma-informed lens to their work and gain an understanding of Internal Family Systems (www.selfleadership.org) in practice.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, I am eligible to provide 100% of the required supervision hours to LPC Candidates as well as 50% of the required supervision hours to Marriage and Family Therapists and Clinical Social Workers. I have provided clinical supervision for over twenty years.

EMDR Consultation Group

2nd Friday of each month, 9:30 am – 11:30 am

For Therapists Who Have Completed EMDR Basic Training

This consultation group is designed for licensed therapists who have completed the EMDR Basic Training and wish to pursue EMDR Certification and/or deepen their knowledge and understanding of EMDR Therapy in practice. The group includes case presentation, discussion of challenging issues and obstacles to effective EMDR processing, creative case conceptualization with complex trauma, and a review of the latest research findings and clinical applications.

Special attention is given to the integration of Internal Family Systems (parts work – www.selfleadership.org) in the preparation stage and throughout trauma processing. EMDR Therapy has the power to help people make sense to themselves and heal at the deepest levels. This consultation group supports clinicians in using EMDR Therapy effectively so that clients can experience the significant transformation possible.

Participation requires a minimum six-month commitment.
